Can I go 275/40 and 295/35 without issue?

I am getting some new rims but trying to save a few $$ on tires, as I just put some new rubber on early last year. Probably not even 3k miles on them. I am looking to get away with moving my 275/40/20 to the front on 20x10, and just purchasing two new rear tires.

275/40/20 is 28.7"
295/35/20 is 28.1"

Is the 295/35 too much difference and stabilitrack have issues?

Or just get two new 275/40.

I am sticking with my Vred Vortis and they don't offer a 305/35 option (but they do offer a 315/35). I do like to hit the road course and have fun on occasion, is the 315/35/20 TOO much for that? Meaning too big, heavy, slowing me down kind of thing. The car is lowered.

The ultimate goal is to be at 285/35 and 295/35.

The 275/40-315/35 is a better choice IMO, and a very popular choice. I personally would not go with a shorter rear tire than front. The 295/35 is almost a 2% diameter difference whereas the 315/35 is .1% so it's also a better choice in that regard. You probably would not have a Stabilitrac issue with the 295 but I'd still go with the 315.

Would the 315/35 impact me in any negative way when running HPDE?

And looking at your pics, you have a tendency to go BIG...lol.

update: well never mind, found out the 315 is out of stock and won't be restocked "for a while". heck, I may as well go with a square setup now with 27/40 on 20x10's. Ugh, kind of helps narrow down the options.

You should be fine, I'm running 275/35/20 and 295/35/20 with no issues.

Square is great - ends up with a nice chassis balance. 275/40/20 on 20x9 all the way around for me.
