K&N Drop in filter vs. CAI

This is probably a stupid question but is it worth it to spend almost $400 on an intake when you can just get a drop in filter for like $60 bucks? The more aggressive sound is more important to me than the hp but i dont know exactly how much the filter would do for me. If anyone could help that would be great thanks.

Autoanything.com claims their prices can't be beat. So I found the k&n cai that I wanted off of amazon for $230. So I sent them the link and I only paid $220 for it. And it's well worth the money! Night and day difference in sound and throttle response. You won't be disappointed

A drop in filter won't do much for you. You'll need a full intake for the cool intake sound and extra power.

.....and it is POWER WE SEEK!
I went with the K&N CAI; and I am very happy with, sound and performance. I re placed my hood and have air being dumped on the filter.

Drop in was not an option. After the K&N filter the MOD the addiction bit me.

I bought the K&N drop in filter from Amazon.com for $40 with free shipping. This was cheaper than any OEM paper panel I could find and so I got it. My car now has 57,000 miles on it. Is there any difference? Maybe. A little. But I did get a new filter for less than a factory replacement and so I am very happy.

2 days after I bought my car back in Dec I dropped in the K&N filter. Really didn't notice nothing different. Since installing a full aftermarket intake it was a night and day difference! So save the $60 and get a full intake! Trust you won't regret it. But you may get sucky MPG, BECAUSE you won't want to stop going WOT!!! LOLOL!!!
