Congrats, how did the car hold up, I know you have been through a lot of iterations to get here.

Sven you are getting to know me so well..lol. These results were once again achieved on the early runs with the car at the lowest power setting I could possibly run at. 18 pounds of boost, 1000whp. First run was a very easy 200.5, next was this 203.5 then I attempted to run it with a small shot of nitrous and think I had a blow-off valve failure that caused my turbo plumbing to come apart when I lifted the throttle to shift with nitrous flowing and it knocked the oil line off, I lost all engine oil and then the oil under the car started on fire after it rolled to a stop. Thankfully the fire crew put the car out before there was any damage and I trailered it and brought it home. I still have not heard if the engine is still good since I lost all oil pressure at 190+ mph. This car has the potential to go MUCH faster if I can keep it together.

Damn... I'm trying to keep my Samsung washing machine from blowing apart on "spin cycle" and you are running over 200 MPH blowing oil lines and weaving back and forth 5 feet in crosswinds. Everything is relative!

Honestly, Congrats on resilience, dedication, and living and sharing your passion!

I didn't mention that the power steering and power brakes quit working when the engine turned off and the time slip showed 193 mph with no power.... It was kind of scary getting it to stop and turn the corner at the end of the strip.... I actually made the corner really hot with no power steering. It looked like I pulled off the return road and onto the apron because I broke down but in reality I was turning as hard as I could and couldn't keep it on the return road....just a good thing they have a big apron area there.

Glad to see your car up and running again! I saw it when I dropped my Vette off with Andy so he could do some of his magic on it. I just brought the car home today it responded pretty good to the mods about 200rwho and 200tq. Having a blast with it.

What rear differential gear ratio are you running and what tires/sizes? Sounds a little scary with electric steering and power for brakes both going out! Nice runs! Great meeting you at the Mile - hopefully I'll make it next fall to race, instead of spectate/crew (list of mods lol). Bummer the nitrous run didn't pan out after all the work - should of been you glory run

Sugar Is In Hiding

Jess,

When I read your mumps to Sugar and when I got to 203, she yelped and hid under the bed. Can't get her out She thinks I'm going to try and best you We are so happy about your mumps and times, you worked so hard to get to those results.

Us? We drive the 14 Callaway Vette mostly; it's a blast and so much fun. Right now we're on a trip and I have the 13-ZL1 which is getting old as I might push 6000 miles after this trip.

I did find out that the cruise control on the Callaway doesn't work at 130 mump.

Ron and Sugar

new fastest ZL1 time

I went faster this year and don't think there is any ZL1 going faster. My car remains completely stock on the exterior including side mirrors and downforce producing stock wings. Ran great with new LME engine tuned by ADM and drove on the trailer strong at the end of the event.

WTF didn’t you break man? It’s like I threw my car off a cliff. It reached 210mph and then I needed a new windshield and some other stuff. Thank god the crew was there to say ”did you see that $hit? That was friggin’ cool!”. But I think I can get 212 out of it next time!

(ps. good luck chasing the dragon...subscribed and hoping the best].

I didn't break anything this year. That last quote was from the 2016 mile. I suppose I could have started a new thread but I still think my ZL1 has the fastest official speed. There were a lot of gen6 cars there this year but I don't think any of them went over 180 mph. Gen 5 cars with mods are faster.
