Installing Leather Shift Knob for V6 Automaic
Does anyone have instructions on how to install leather shift knob?

Easy to install, pull the shifter down to the "M" position. At the base of the front of the shift handle there is a small plastic plug that covers a T-20 torx screw, remove the screw and lift the handle off.

what do you use to remove plug to get at screw? Is it easy to remove, I don't want to scratch or break it

The plug comes out easy, just use a small scewdriver or pick.
