Gopro Hood and Trunk for Security?
Dash Cams are good, have one already. Was thinking of adding a Gopro to my upper hood and rear roof of my Camaro. Not for tracking but a second set of "eyes". Problem is, how do you secure it? Overkill and waste of $?
Can a Gopro be secured down to the outside to prevent it from being stolen? Friend of mine has Gopro on his truck along with his Dashcam. He says it keeps people honest around him. |

if you put a GoPro on the outside of your car, it will get stolen in the 1st hour you leave the car alone

A GoPro outside will get stolen in a heartbeat. They sell dash cams that are front and rear cams with motion detection. I would go that route.

A go pro will not PREVENT a car from being stolen. Might offer a bit of deterrence but more than likely you'll end up with a stolen car and go pros. If someone is going to take your car, they're going to take it.
Better to invest your money in a device like lojack.
