There has got to be a placement for the sensors so this can work...but information is what we need and that's what I'm looking for here

So are you dead set on not wanting to tune out the code which is why you're looking for something that wont throw any?

Kooks 1 7/8 headers with high flow cats. I went a couple days without a code and then it popped up.
But my car is currently tuned (its an L99 and they really do need a tune to deal with the AFM noises.) |

there is no magic O2 sensor to fix the issue,, just get a spare ecm and have it tuned, put the original back in for dealer visits

yes you can,, you get a new ecm and have it programmed with your vin and vehicle info , then you have it tuned that article is talking about swapping modules between vehicles for diagnostic testing without having them programmed,, this will cause all kinds of issues you get a new or used ecm and have the unit programmed to your car,, your car doesnt care as long as the vin in ther ecm matches and keep your original for dealer visits the ecm only keeps track of mileage when it has a trouble code set im a gm tech and we swap modules all the time if we suspect it is the problem,, but you have to re-program the module to match the vehicle, the ecm just holds the software that your vehicle needs to run,, the ecm for a L99 and a LS3 is the same ,, but the software is totally different, but you can re-program a L99ecm to run a LS3 and the other way around also.

Dynatech 1 7/8" with HF cats. Code the 3rd day 1 day after I installed a faulty Vararam. Took the VR off a few days later and in the process disconnected the negative battery cable. Started the car when done and the CEL was gone.
Went about 6 weeks with no CEL, One night I got off work and it was a cold start, I didnt let the car warm up, had to floor it a little to pull out of the station I work at and the CEL came on as I was driving down the street I work on, been on ever since

I have installed a complete ARH 1 7/8 w/cats system including there tail section and mufflers. Love them. Vararam CAI. It will code on occasion, although I have a SCT tuner and one of Ted's tune, it not installed. I use the SCT to clear codes.
Bottom line if you want no codes at all you will have to tune it. Kiss your drive train warranty good bye if you tune and have a major drive train failure. I recently broke the output shaft in my tranny and the dealer was required to send ECM snapshot to GM to approve warranty fix. Lucky for me I had not installed the tune. It would have been a 3K tune. I'll put up with the cel now and again to retain my waranty. |

OBX
I have OBX longtubes with cat delete pipes and no tune. I have O2 extenders (2" long spark plug antifoulers) on the rear sensors and I have not tripped any codes. I've put ~1,000 miles on my car since the install.
