Doesn't sound too hard, I assume it draws power from the 12v lighter socket?

Yes. You could direct wire it to a 12v source also.

Why not take advantage of the bluetooth or USB for input? You could use a endles variety of source that way and not loose any signal in the process. Looks like you will need to get 2LT or 2SS though.

I can't get enough of sirius. I don't know what i'd do without it. And I can only play my mp3 player for so long untill I get tired of it. Even with 20gbs.

Definitely opt for HD
If they don't have an option, I suggest you get one custom installed. You're gonna love the sound quality. Here is a pretty good resource to start at:
