Yours seems to be the first credible source for improvements. Its nice to see what it added.

Peace!

How is questioning bashing? I never once said "oh man the vararam is such a piece of shit...that company sucks ect ect. All I did was ask questions of theirs and peoples claims.

Never assume anything. Never trust any companies claims until they are verified by an outside source. They make the claims to....wait for it....wait for it.....to make money. Not to be your friend or for you to like them. They are a business, just like GM and Ford and Rotofab ect ect.

Do you not research products before you buy them? When you go to Best Buy and ask them a question about the lumens ratings on a projector does the rep say "man if your going to trash this why are you even here"?

If you want to be the sheep guy that thinks hes getting 35 hp from a cai and another 35hp from headers and another 20hp from a cat back and another 20hp from a tune so you can tell all your friends your ls3 camaro makes 536hp thats fine. You can be that guy. Im not him and I encourge others to not be that guy either. Thats typical ricer mentality.

Your times seem to keep changing. Last I saw you gained 2.5 tenths and 2 MPH. Roughly a 25HP gain.

Will datalogging with the wickerbill in produce the info neccessary for Kirk to come up with a tune for our "tune-only" units in order for us to be able to pull them out ultimately?

It gets REAL OLD when all the VR haters haven't even experienced the unit
Dude, no one is being a VR hater. I talked to Wacker a few times and really wanted this to be a cool option, based on looks initially (because all intakes add a little HP and increase air flow) but the design (this is my opinion, freedom of speech if you will) is off. Don't get your feelings hurt because we want more than just "it feels so good, WOT is more awesomer that before". Logs tell a world of difference, I won't even buy track times, because it's like going to the dyno. Every little thing (environmentally, gas, car's mood for the day) effect that shit.

You aren't defending this product by telling us that you're feelings are hurt. It would mean a lot more to everyone else (I've moved on from caring about this shoddy design) to post LTFTs, STFTs, AFRs and MAF with a stock box and with a VARARAM. The only company to impress me so far is Halltech. That guy actually comes here and has PROVED that his intake does what he says, not to mention that no one has had any problems with it.

For the last time, this design is off. Your air flow isn't constant with a MAF sensor being directly in front of the throttle body, and whether there's oil on your MAF or not (for those running it without problems) it's bound to happen eventually, and if not, the PCV recirc ****s the air flow (IMO!!!!!) by protruding DIRECTLY into the intake. Address the issues or leave it alone, nobody has done either so far.

I said I averaged 4 tenths and 2 MPH. Best Vararam time 12.45 @ 115 vs best stock box 12.71. Average Vararam was 12.50 @ 115 vs average stock box of 12.88. So to nats ass it, the average was 3.8 tenths. Sorry for misleading you.

See post #1047

Also per your post a few before that:

My best time with the stock box was 12.708@111 vs a 12.62@111 previously. My average with the stock box/tune was 12.8@110. My best time with the Vararam/tune was 12.45@113 with an average 12.50@113.

That is 2.5 tenths and 2 MPH. This was conducted on the same track, same day. Not sure how that = 4 tenths.

I didn't realize that posting a simple update on where I was at with my unit was going to cause such crap. Some people must have nothing better to do than look for things to bitch about. Meanwhile.......I'm going to have some fun in my car. Peace OUT!
Thanks Vararam for the unit! Thanks Chevy for the car! WHOOOOHOOOOO

I'll be glad when the bugs get worked out and someone can do a comparo like Ted did so we can see ACTUAL improvement differences between this and the other intakes.

Just my .02 cents

Understood man. No harm no foul. Just want to make sure we are being consistent with discussion.

BTW - 25WHP is nothing to sneeze about. That is a nice gain over stock regardless of what intake one is using.

Yes it is close to other good CAI designs in terms of power gain.

Wacker, are you using a tune or a no-tune unit?
