Flying to US to buy a new Camaro???

G'day Guys,
Let me start by saying I'm scared and desperate, scared the new Camaro isnt coming to Australia, and just desperate to get one.

So, this is what I'm thinking of doing, any suggestions to help with this plan, please add.

1. Fly to LA in early August, visit a dealer, test drive, put down deposit.

2. Whilst in LA check out some good quality workshops who could do RHD conversions.

3. Arrange for Shipping after conversion for newly delivered Camaro to Australia.

4. Arrive in Australia and drive off into the sunset a very happy man. WTF?

So if any Aussie's got some better ideas or suggestions, then chuck em in, cause I'm not seeing any other way of getting one over here.

Dealers here can't sell to people outside the USA. Especially when it's for export. You'd need a US address, and US identification.

Thanks for the replies Guys, I have a relative in the states who may be able to assist with some of these exporting problems.

Does anyone have a direct contact with someone at GM who can asked questions and get some straight answers about RHD models are going to be delayed or totally scrapped?

We had a member get a AV and with Some help form members and dealers had his new AV shiped down under.
Then the modifications started to happen. Every thing in the Cabbin and Engine compartment was fliped. If I rember there were some lighting modfication required front and rear.
So a little over one year Later he recived the AV (Chevy Avalanche).

So it can be done; all good mods come in time.

Best of luck.
