Still got it goin' on!

My car is seven years old... and yet, THREE different strangers stopped to randomly and spontaneously express their approval of how good the car looks today, while it was parked out in front of the house. I went out to wash it, and twice people on their morning walk- the- dog outings stopped to admire the car, and a car with some self- described Mustang fanboys stopped to compliment the car.

And all this adoration while I'm still basking in the smug glory of overhearing a kid and her mom walking past the car yesterday, and discussing how they REALLY want to get an awesome car like this one... how it's "the best car" the little girl has ever seen...

Sure, yellow seems to jump out at people, and regular doses of Turtle wax and Armor- All don't hurt, but for a seven- year old car, that's still pretty nice!

It's not the color. It's that you keep your Camaro detailed. My '10 SS is 8 years and
after 48,000 miles it still appears new. There's very few times when I take it out that
I don't get compliments. I detail a panel or two a week and never take it out dirty.
The 5TH gen Camaro's unique design makes it truly a great American car.

This thread should be moved to the general discussion area imo.

The perception of vehicles greatly differs from the internet to real life. If you follow facebook groups to intently or random forum opinions, you would conclude if you don't own a brand new ZL1 1LE people would not care. In reality, most people see a well kept clean car, that's not your average commuter box and they tend to react with positively. All they see is a cool car.

Myself and the average person on the street could care less what model Camaro
you have. It's just how clean it is. When I see one go by I could care less nor can
I usually tell if it's a LS or a ZL1. I still get comments about my 90% stock '10 SS
almost every time I take it out because it's spotless.
