Faux hood scoop.....

i know, I know... we are all tired of hearing about the fake hood scoop on the camaro... and how "oh, Im going to cut mine open and make it functional" (yeah.... right)

but I just thought about something after reading a post from someone who claimed to not be planning on buying a camaro with a fake hood scoop....

the hood scoop....

ISN'T ON THE HOOD!

so quit calling it a hood scoop. and quit bitching about it.

that is all.

I find faux scoops and vents of any kind tired and lame, but it isn't a deal breaker.

the ls1 SS/Z28s did come with functioning hood scoops

they got a lot of heat soak due to their location and how the airflow was circulated from the scoop that was right over the intake around (inside) the hood back to the filter.

and the LT1 SS/Z28s got even more heat soak from the intake itself drawing straight from the scoop but sitting right on top of the cast iron intake manifold.

not to mention the stock hood on the LT1's had not 1 but 2 faux hood vents.

Fake scoops - unlike fake b00bs, will not get a single nickel from me...total deal killer.
