I do 285/315 of MPSS. Been through several sets. I had 295/315, but they tag the fender from time to time. I've done a review on it if you search my posts.
I find the 315s on the back stabilize the rear of the car vs the 305s. It not only accelerates with little slippage, it flies through the corners. A lot of that is the MPSS, but even when I tried 305 MPSS, the 315s just keeps things together better. I probably have over 100k miles on the config at this point.

315's also seem to be approximately $30 cheaper than 305's.

For the price, performance, and year round drive-ability, you can't beat the BFG II's! They've amazed me in snow/ice/hail, wet/rain, and just your normal everyday summer heat.

There are a few schools of thought on tire selection. Some people feel that wider is always better, as it provides more contact patch with the ground and thus more grip. Others believe that taller tires are better, as they provide more leverage against the ground and thus more grip. And then there are those who think that the best tire is one that is the right balance of width and height for the application.
In terms of sticky tires, there are a few different brands that come to mind. The Nitto NT05 is a popular choice, as is the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. These are both great tire choices for those who are looking for something that will provide good grip on the street. For those of you who are looking for a tire that is similar in size to the stock tire but with better performance, the Toyo R888R is a good option. This tire is available in both 285/35R19 and 305/35R19 sizes, so it should be a good fit for your application. Last edited by Frompleat26; 07-26-2022 at 08:31 AM. |
