Smile Dealer wants to thank you guys!

Hello to all, I am the GM for my Chevrolet dealerhsip here in Seattle, Wa and am a car nut as well. I have appreciated all the information that has been available from this site both true and untrue. You guys are uber informed about this new Camaro and the overall excitement we all have for this awesome car is infectious. I first saw the car at the dealer meeting in Las Vegas in 2005 and have wanted one ever since, I just like many of you cant wait for this car to arrive. As a car man most cars are like investments to me, they have a cost, a potential profit and, or a potential loss but from the very first time I saw the Camaro it made me feel like a kid again riding in a 1969 red SS Camaro with nary a worry in the world except how I was going to make some $$ to put gas in the beast to keep it rolling. Only a handfull of cars have had this effect on me in my lifetime and I am glad to be in a posistion to see it have the same effect on so many others at this time. If anyone has any questions about the business please feel free to ask, I am NOT here to try to sell anything to anyone. I am here as a Camaro enthusiast just like you so be gentle Thanks again to all of you who post so much information its good to see I am not alone in the quest fore more knowledge about this American Icon

My dealer told you guys to F**k off

Just kidding

But he did talk a little trash...he said he hates it when people speculate and spread unconfirmed information. I partly agree with him, but I enjoy speculating...it's fun.

If they hate it when people speculate and spread rumors, imagine how hundreds of people have felt when their dealers tell them they still can't take orders.

And welcome... you are amongst fellow obessionists now...

I just posted this re another thread by a Chevy salesperson, and it applies to you as well...

What I take from this is, here's one salesman (dealership GM) putting the effort in to be informed about his product. I've told sales people where to get the info, but they are too busy foaming at the mouth about the next up.

So kudos to you, and tell your customers to tell their friends, because you should prosper for your higher level of product knowledge.

We're glad to point anyone in the right direction. A lot of people will be thinking about the Mustang or fourth generation Camaro as a comparative to the new one. We're out to show them the facts: that it is a high-performance car, that it will outperform the competition, that it is dead sexy, and that it will compete well above its price bracket.
