I installed the cai intake today.. pretty easy.

I was expecting a bit more. Sounds nice, slightly more responsiveness and a bit eager in gears.

I need to get some hfc's and a tune

You just got to think about it more simply. This car has been out for 10 years. Motor has been 23 years. In MA, if done correctly has thousands of cars passing emission's with headers/cats, big motors, even 1000hp Camaro's. So a lot of mods are not an issue.

For power, a cold air moves more air by slightly tricking the maf readings. Only way to reap the benifit's is a tuner to adjust it to be 100%. Tuning is very under estimated but is usually better than the basic bolt on mods.

Would love to check out a mod day. Somebody come up with something lower springs, headers , ?????

I have to put a gm wicker bill on my ss 1le at some point. I have 3 lifts and lots of tools but I will not back my cars out on a rainy day so on a rainy day I only have one lift that can be used if anybody wants to get together at some point

I actually just got some Pedders rear subframe inserts. They aren't as difficult as doing the full bushings, but still require the rear axle to be lowered. I understand that this might be 'too much' for a mod day, and the last thing I'd want to do is impose on other people. However, if it's ok to throw my car on the lyft, it'd definitely be helpful to have a group of guys present who share a knowledge of the 5th gen.

BUT because the job is a known PITA, it doesn't have to be done, and I'd still be happy to attend a mod day.
