I think it worked.

here's a vid of my run final run.

I've posted this all over the place tonight. It was a BLAST.

If you have never done an Autox event. DO IT!!!! It was 10x more fun than a drag race.

The suspension, wheels, and tires worked great together. I was very surprised at how well I was able to do. I can't wait for the next one.

Thanks for all who posted info in here.
Lionel,

Great job at your 1ts Autocross.

Start planning now to attend C5FEST III and participate in the C5F III AC. Rumor has it you get a one second credit for every onion ring you eat on the course

That is awesome!!! Great Job!

Thank you JDP for the advice and I will definitely try the 20F -24R set up.

So what about tire pressures? less air in front vs rear?

Last event I got 3rd out of 18 but lost to a damn scion! I want to get him this time!

Got my BC coilovers installed yesterday. Right now they are set at 12F/6R and I like it. I might try 10/5 just to see what happens.

Of course no track usage yet.

No problem! What sways do you have on the car? There are a lot of variables when it comes to dialing a car in to any given course.

I usually start with a square PSI; 28-30 with stock tires and then adjust from there. I would suggest utilizing your damping adjustments as well as sway adjustments if you have them and use air pressure for ultra fine tuning.

Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions! Good luck and let us know if you take down the Scion! I had a 2009 Cobalt SS/TC and I broke a lot of hearts with that car!

Kind regards,

Sadly still stock sways... I wont be able to get them before Oct 1st but hopefully I can before the final one in Nov.

Those colbalts are quick! what added salt to the wound was the top 3 was seperated by 4 hundreds of a second... Second went to a Porsche with a LS3 motor so I didnt mind that but when the Scion crossed the line and they announced his time, I was like you got to be joking. He was a good driver though.

I ran 40 PSI all around, the tires are tall and I was afraid they might rub on the coilovers. I didn't notice too much wear on any of the shoulders so next time I'll run 35 psi all around and see how that feels. I think i will loosen up to 18F/22R because I felt pretty nice and stiff with the 20F/24 rear. I think I can handle a little more give. I'll let you all know how the next one goes. 9 Oct can't get here fast enough. I've been dreaming about eating cones.

I think the lower PSI will help your times a bit, the higher pressure makes it feel a bit better, but doesn't grip quite as well in most cases.

I think I might try 10/10 n see how that feels. I love having the option to change the settings... it's truly awesome.
