Dash Basically Dead

I had taken my 2011 2SS to a car wash and when I got it back, the dash was dead. Both the speedometer and tachometer were not budging and the center info display was dead. I browsed the forums and had some suggesting that "resetting" the car was working for them by disconnecting the negative battery lead and/or pulling fuses. I tried the battery disconnect and that did not work.

I figured it out. Apparently there was a short in the control box for my color shift LED Halo lights and they had wired it to that fuse. Consequently, it fried the 10 amp fuse inside the passenger compartment that is to the left of the driver between the door and the dash labeled "CLSTR".

For anyone experiencing the problems described here, best bet is to check that fuse before panicking.

Enjoy
