NCTiger 2012 1SS

I have been a community observer for years and the forum has provided a lot of information from which I could pull ideas, lessons learned, and DIY how-to's. I bought my 2012 1SS non-RS in July of 2012 and it is the first car I purchased myself. From the beginning I had a mod list for the car. It took about ten months before I purchased my first mods and it went from there. I finally got around to making my build thread. I hope it brings some interest.

CAI & Cat-Back Exhaust

The first two mods were a K&N CAI and Corsa Cat-back exhaust. Installed while I was living in Richmond, VA.

Hotckis Track Pack Stage 2

The first serious installation was the Hotchkis Track Pack that lowered the vehicle and added the chassis brace. It was immediately noticeable that the vehicle hooked up better and that speed bumps & pot holes were now my worst enemy.

Headlight/Fog Light Conversion

I opted for not getting the RS package because I did not see the Halo headlights and HIDs being worth the $3k. I always had plans to switch out the halogen lamps, so I opted for the Eagle Eye headlight and when I was doing it I included an HID conversion. This was the first time I had taken off a major body panel, so it was a little anxiety-inducing. I think it all turned out well. The support of Diode Dynamics with the wiring diagrams was paramount and the many DIY's on the forum for removing the front bumper assisted greatly.

Havoc Diffuser

One of the first body mods that I knew I wanted was the Havoc Diffuser. It is a perfect example, to me, of an improvement upon the existing diffuser. It keeps the same lines of the OEM, but makes the rear very unique. I know some people have had issues with fitment. So far, mine installed in 3 hours and fit within my expectations of aftermarket.

I have the ACS T4 splitter and rockers currently in shipment. I think they may be delayed to the snow storm hitting the Northeast USA. They last checked in at the Syracuse, NY FedEx facility.

ACS T4 Splitter and Rockers

Well, the parts arrived a full week ago but I have been too busy to get them installed. Doing some test fitting, they are going to do just fine. Great packing for painted parts resulted in no scratches and I couldn't be happier.

It will be another week before I can get them installed. The anticipation is killing me.

Splitter and Rocker Install

I took some time this weekend to get the splitter and rockers installed. I think they look great. The instructions were relatively clear. I purchased the undertray with the splitter and it came as one piece. This seemed like a good thing until I started to mount the splitter. Getting the bolts lined up required extreme dexterity and patience. Luckily the rockers were very straight forward and easily installed.
