I have ordered my 2SS camaro from ALL Star Chevy in Baton Rouge on Aug 25 and had about 20 people ahead of me. Its about 6 weeks after and they are only down to about 15 ahead of me. Also more info is that there is about 8 SS's out of the group ahead of me. Its a large dealership so i donno what the heck the problem is. They told me that GM didnt take any allocations last week from them and around thanksgiving GM will be off for a week or two which doesnt help the situation. At this rate i hope to get it by next summer j/k. but they told me i should get it by late december at the earliest but most likely January. Anyone possibly can help my situation please let me know or just advice would be great. I have my tracking number and my 6 digit number that i guess is allocation number?? so if anyone can help that might need it or whatever lemme know. also does the info about GM that i talked about true or seem fishy? Thanks ahead of time to all replies. Also i know someone that ordered a car from another dealer in BR two weeks after me and they are already thru mid production of the car. I was kinda limited to where i ordered it bc im a first time buyer and another dealership ( not the two i mentioned) gave me run around even tho i have good credit.
p.s thanks again for anyone who replies or can help bc i kinda just threw alot of info out hoping for something good.

Dude, you need to find another dealer. There are dealerships here in Michigan that can get you a Camaro in a few weeks, if not immediately. I ordered my 2SS/RS on Sept 1st and it was delivered last week.

I have provided a link below to a dealer and salesperson in Western Michigan. You can fly in and drive it home, or they'll ship it to you. I am not associated with them in any way, just trying to help. Good luck.

Have allocation available tomorrow, and could probably order it and place it (2000 status) while your on the phone. Give me a call.

being i already gave them the deposit for mine could you take the allocation from them and place it and me still purchase it from them? or also if i order if from you will it be delivered down here? my tracking number is NPBKFM and BAC number is 130635 ( whatever that is). Ill call ya tomorrow for more info if thats cool or if its ur cell phone could i call you now with some questions? i work till about 6 everyday but if i have to ill find a way to call ya on my lunch break!! Thanks sooo much!!

your deposit should have been a refundable deposit, so just cancel your order from your dealership, get your money, and go elsewhere. you have dealers on here that are telling you they have allocations open. either wait another 3 months before yours is actually ordered or get it in a month and a half delivered from one of the dealers up here.

hey jnm2003 i live in walker la. i seen pics of your truck and 4 wheeler at my fav. place to ride in laplace i have a yz250 and a 4 wheeler i go there a lot, good luck trying to get your car if your gonna wait for your car wait a little longer and get a 2011 if not get your dep. back theres plenty around on ebay you can get now i have a blk 2ssRs you can get in touch with me and check mine out and take a ride, about to put some arh headers on it.

ps,im not selling it just offering a good test drive.

My dealer in Butler, PA has a 1SS Imperial Blue in stock, 6 speed manual, mikekellyautomotive.com, the reason I say this is my son is driving up here from Baton Rouge next week (works at LSU), he could drive it back for you. I also arranged for an ABM that ended up in Denver, so dealer likes to sell out of state.

I am sure glad I didn't order from All Star! Geez. I live and work in Baton Rouge, but my entire family lives in Houma. Sales tax is 8.5% in Houma and 9% in Baton Rouge (saved like $150 :P), and it was just easier to order in Houma. They had allocations at Trapp Chevrolet. You can look at my signature to see how fast everything went through.
