LS3 Engine On Texas Speed Engine Dyno Again!!

Great news guys! We have another LS3 engine on the TSP engine dyno! We've been grinding and testing some new camshaft profiles & have some new stuff for you guys! It's always good to test/develop & push to make our products better! I'm extremely happy so far & cant wait to get some of these new products in your hands!

We are testing intake manifolds right now.

If anyone has ideas or stuff they want tested let me know. As always if anyone near us has a part they want to see run next to our parts shoot me a PM! I'm always up for side by side testing!

New hydraulic profiles are done & shortly we will begin solid roller testing!! Here's the engine yesterday with a prototype TSP billet runner/sheet metal intake assembly!

Do those runners extend into the plenum at all?

What is different from the prototype intake compared to a Holley sheetmetal intake? Does your manifold make power over the stock manifold? If it does, will those gains be seen by people with a stock engine, bolt ons, or internal mods?

Why stepped headers and not normal long tubes?

Best question is ; does that Plenum clear the firewall of a gen 5 Camaro? Does it extend the shape of the intake tubes into the plenum and are they custom ground or is the exterior of the runners you see pretty much it? What differentiates it from other sheet metal intakes on the net? Heat soak issues? Construction? Flow numbers and where is its gains? Does it evenly distribute the AFR to the engine? Tuning required more for it?

Questions ,questions, and with a prototype they wont say squat until its patented most likely.. LOL Yup still waiting on that Vararam VRX....Not....

It's pretty easy to see that it's a short runner intake even if the runners extend into the plenum some.

This type of intake WILL NOT WORK well for a bolt on car. Higher compression, bigger cam, higher peak rpm will certainly be needed.

I don't think a magic 30+hp intake for bolt ons will exist. The stock intake is pretty damn good!

Give GM credit where credit is due on this one, the heads/intake on the LS3 is one of the best combos they've probably ever manufactured

Yes on the street in a daily your not going to beat the stock intake but by a small margin at best but in a racing application where the engine never is below 5500rpm thats another story.

You have to tip your hat to the GM engineers who designed those intakes, they nailed it. Putting CAD and CFD software in the right hands does wonders.
