What kind of headers? If the they bolt up (no welding) to the stock exhuast, the install is easy. If you can do simple bolt on/off stuff and have basic tools, you may try doing it yourself. I did mine in my garage with basic tools.... Try the link below, it helped me.

Did mine my self. The easiest header install I've done. Use Stage 8 locking bolts so you don't have to worry about them coming loose. If you have time spray some WD-40 or penetrating oil on the O2 sensors before you start. Makes getting them off later easier. Getting a good O2 socket helps too. Good luck.

I agree do it your self if you can and save the money for other mods. Just finished installing Coil overs and end links and GMS adjustalbe toe Links.

+1 on DIY being insanely easier than 4th gen. I put long tubes on my 97 TA and gave a pint of blood over the 2 day install (kidding, wasn't that bad). Also, Stage 8 bolts are worth their weight in platinum. Do em and never redo the install.

you do not need to run the stage 8 bolts if you use the factory MLS gasket and torque them to factory spec..
