What kind of headers? If the they bolt up (no welding) to the stock exhuast, the install is easy. If you can do simple bolt on/off stuff and have basic tools, you may try doing it yourself. I did mine in my garage with basic tools.... Try the link below, it helped me.

agreed on the DIY, these cars are too easy to work on, soooo much better than the 4th gen

Did mine my self. The easiest header install I've done. Use Stage 8 locking bolts so you don't have to worry about them coming loose. If you have time spray some WD-40 or penetrating oil on the O2 sensors before you start. Makes getting them off later easier. Getting a good O2 socket helps too. Good luck.

I agree do it your self if you can and save the money for other mods. Just finished installing Coil overs and end links and GMS adjustalbe toe Links.

+1 on DIY being insanely easier than 4th gen. I put long tubes on my 97 TA and gave a pint of blood over the 2 day install (kidding, wasn't that bad). Also, Stage 8 bolts are worth their weight in platinum. Do em and never redo the install.

you do not need to run the stage 8 bolts if you use the factory MLS gasket and torque them to factory spec..
