I tried putting a roll bar on my Solstice for SCCA, and they refused. Said it had to be a complete cage, which meant destroying the instrument panel. I told SCCA to take a hike.

I do like the bar that Revolution makes. Does anyone know how it attaches and removes? Does if fit the ZL1?

There should be no differences with fitment from a V6 to a ZL1 in regards to fitment of the sports bar. Just follow the instructions and hope you don't drill a hole where it's not suppose to go.

It is being designed for Camaro convertible owners who wish to participate in road course track days, similar to the Pfadt Track Assault at the Camaro5fest. So it may not meet all of the requirements of the straightline tracks. If you have specific requirements, or just want to be kept informed of our progress, please send me a PM.

Thread resurrection!

Has there been any headway on the bolt in roll over bars from this vendor?

Resurrection. Any options besides RPM? Doesn't look like any of the planned options ever came to fruition and the Atlanta shop appears to be out of business.

I asked the wife about one and she said absolutely not. It makes the rear seats unusable as well. So much for including us at Camarofest.

The RPM kit is $1200-1600 plus paying someone to install it.

I like the RPM bolt in and i did it myself. I wouldn't want to do a coupe myself but the vert made it easily accessible. My wife didn't necessarily like the idea either but i did it anyway. I told here to just tell the kids its like riding a roller coaster with the lap bar in front. Now the tracks don't turn me away.

You don't have to be out of Camarofest, you just can't run the NCM track. You can still drag race, Camarocross, than there's the car show and of course the Parking Lot Party.

My local track won’t let me drag race. Nhra rules say anything faster than a 13.49 with a vert needs at least a 6 point bar. Rpm was pretty much the only one I could come up with too aside from a custom build

Lovely. Never mind the fact there are at least a dozen or more convertibles that run faster than 11.9 stock with no roll bar.
