There is tons and tons of room there to park so hopefully the first car or two there can get a spot away from everybody else for several of us there to park. Couple wives are coming with me and a buddy so hopefully there will be some other skirts out there so they can talk. Ha ha

My wife's family is coming into town tonight for a surprise visit, so I'm not sure I can make it this week, but if I can I will see you guys out there.

Last time we parked by the grill and bathrooms. That can get crowded though. If I make it, I'm usually the first one there, so I'll try and find a place away from everyone else.

I normally would, but they aren't getting here til 8 or so and I don't want to wait that long to go. They want to go to VMP tomorrow for test & tune though, so I will probably end up going tonight and tomorrow.

Only got 4 passes in. Best pass (2nd)was 11.67 @ 123 and a 1.83 60'.

Even on these street tires, there is more this car is capable of IMO. Moar practice!

I'm still getting used to launching this car of course. Started @ 29lbs in the tires. Dropped to 24 and had 2 decent passes......the last pass I dropped to 23lbs(warning light came on for tire pressure) and I did a longer burnout and tried to launch harder......and of course......spun like crazy

Biggest problem was putting the throttle down appropriately and then finding the right spot to hit 2nd gear. 3-4 went well enough but I have to find that sweet spot in the powerband/RPM range to get more out of my 1-2 transition.

good job. Those times on stock Goodyears show great potential. 1.83 is really good and shows your ability to not stomp the throttle too soon. I have always had the best luck with 6spd cars gently squeezing the thhrottle down fairly quickly as I was slipping the clutch until it bites. Does a 1LE have no lift shift like a ZL1? The 1-2 should be at redline, smooth and quick without causing too much wheelspin. Slightly lifting off the throttle may be necessary to not upset the traction situation as many people shift 1-2 with their foot on the floor and it is like dumping the clutch in 2nd gear. Obviously practice at the track is key as every car is different. Get some drag radials so you can really enjoy your experience.

My rears are Continental DWS all seasons. Harder compound. 1LE does NOT have NLS sadly. I was fairly close to redline 5800-6000ish when going into 2nd. I was NOT power shifting in any gear. I was additionally not slamming each shift.

I was just trying to make some good safe passes and was working on the right tire pressure; launch RPMS and throttle pressure through 1st.

I had fun and I hope to get out again soon

yes...I have been saying "suck exhaust" for days. Context: "There is a guy going to the track with the screen name 'suck exhaust'...I can't believe I had to miss his car running at the dragstrip." This was directed to my wife. She responded, "What the hell does 'suck exhaust' mean?" I stated that I did not know but it sounds cool. It's on a bad ass looking white 1LE with a supercharger. My 6 year old was saying it too. It is the most original plate I have seen in quite a while.

LOL Awesome. SUKXOST That's my complete original I though of years ago. I originally had it on a boosted cobalt back in 05. That's all mine baby! :P
Basically just means that you'd be behind me in a race breathing in my exhaust fumes.
