After pointing out the cracked tail light, the scrape down the side, the piece of inside fender well hanging loose, dent in the hood from some ass sitting on it, and the horrendous amount of junk (empty soda cups, clothes, shoes, burger wrappers, etc.) in the back seat and passenger's front... I asked her "Now, what do you think my answer is?".

She calmly replied, "So that's a no?".

I'm still laughing over the fact that she would even ask.
Well played sir and Im keeping that one in my back pocket for future use.

Perks of owning a manual I guess, no one ever asks to drive it cause they're all scared of a clutch

My wife said that she would like the car to be an automatic, I told her sorry, the only way to get this car is with a manual. She then told me she wasn't going to drive it! Problem solved

Birds of a feather.

I give my husband and son rides anytime they ask, the than that they drive their own car. Beyond that I direct my direct folks to go rent one.

Man you guys wouldn't let your family drive your car. My older brother yes, mom and dad yes, only because they know how I love my car and treat my car.
Actually they have borrow my cars in the past. My brother during winter when it was snowing, my dad borrow my car so he can have something to drive in Germany and my mom just because she asked. My other siblings no because they are just learning to drive.

Op how did he crash? What did he say he was doing?

I will let someone drive my car as long as they let me hold $30,000 of their cash.

I let my buddy drive my car a few days after i bought it. He insisted he knew how to drive a stick so we pulled into a parking lot and I parked her next to a planter. As he goes to pull out of the spot he turns the wheel and goes over the planter and bottomed out on the frame. Also, put a good crack in my tire which ended up needing to be replaced. I still give him crap that he couldn't even get out of the parking spot before he "crashed". Never again will I let someone drive. Only other person I would trust is my father. I offered to let him drive it to the store with me one day when he came out to visit but he declined. He's not much for spirited driving. Soon as i started it up for him so he could hear the exhaust he was like, "NOPE." and handed the keys back to me.
