Did you get a bookcover to hold your owner's manual when you bought your Camaro?

I was driving with a friend of mine this weekend and we had to pull out the owner's manual to see how to add numbers to the bluetooth, and my friend was shocked to see that my owners manual came in a ziplock bag instead of some kind of Camaro folder/portfolio thing that held the manual. Is this standard, or did some buyers receive some sort of Camaro-logo-type book-cover sort of thing to hold their owner's manual? He felt that every car comes with some sort of dedicated, branded owners manual portfolio and that someone at the dealership must have grabbed mine as a souvenir.

Funny, I was surprised at this too. It came with nothing.

My wife's Mustang came with a nice zip case with pockets for registration etc.

GM really blew it on the manual cover, but at least they got the car right!

Ziplock bag... but this makes me wonder if the one I have from my 95 Z28 will fit...I kept the owners manual from that when I traded the car in on this one because I just couldn't give it up entirely Now I need to check that out in the morning!

This lack of detail was probably a cost cutting measure like discontinuing the chicklets on the front fenders after the first 50 thousand or so off the line.

GM made a profit this quarter after a year of losses, & they attributed it to cost saving measures and the popularity of new models.
