What should come with a Z28?

Hi All,

I'm looking to import a Z28 into the UK and have started seriously looking for my ideal car. Are there any particular things to look out for? What should come with the car (which books, number of keys, spare bits and pieces)?

Any help appreciated.

Suggest you contact pat_t who is located in UK, has imported a Z28, and done a fair bit of customization

Car should come with a set of owners manuals, 2 keys, floor mats, certificate of authenticity from original owner, window sticker, service records, car fax report, yellow springs spacers, and full tank of gas.

But who knows, they’re used cars at this point.

I bought my 2015 new in 2016 - I got books, 2 keys, window sticker, floor mats (which were an option) - AC if that option was selected, yellow front spring spacers (there are none for the rear). Options that would be nice to have is a OEM wickerbill - but not everyone got that option (my car did not have it, but I added right away at the dealer - today no OEM wicekerbills left at dealers for purchase).

2014 cars came with certificate of authenticity and some 2015 - mine did not - I tried through the dealer to get one and through GM to get one - no luck getting one. So many cars sold later will not have one and likely one was never issued. Mine is VIN 934 - so a later production 2015, however my car was produced 11/21/14 - so still built in 2014, but dubbed a 2015. You can do a search on certificate of authenticity and see what was said back in 2016 - everyone wanted to get one, but only a few had them or were able to.

Otherwise just get one and enjoy it! The only other thing you should expect is a smile plastered on your face every time you drive it!

Thanks for all the responses.

I've already sent a message to Pat to further understand what mods have had to be made to get the car UK registered. Chris Harris has a podcast called 'Collecting Cars', he did mention that his car was going to be for sale. I'll see what sort of interest the car gets on that auction platform.

I'd like to get something as original as possible, in either Red or White preferably. I really want something with original paint and panels, with little or no stone chips etc.

The OEM wicker bill does look fantastic, it's a shame they are no longer available.
