has anybody (that is a member) checked to see if the new $500 Camaro CU incentive applies to Pen Fed?

that means that the mirror is 38.75% the size of the vertical windshield...
it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

this will also be my first purchase to build a credit on besides my credit card. one of my parents are going to be the co-signer so i know i should get a decent rate due to their good credit. i was just wondering about penfed, if you can just buy the one year membership even though you would take the loan for 60 months?

Yes....it says that right on the website. You buy a 1 year membership for $20, but can remain with PenFed after the membership runs out.

FYI: when I called Pen Fed they said I can get up to %10 of the value of the car for Tax, title and reg. Example $35,000 MSRP Car you would have $3,500 extra available for Tax, title and reg.
Do you mean they just pay for your tax/title/reg, but only up to 10% of the vehicle cost? (I assume whichever is lower). And how do you go about getting this? Thanks

Just got 3.99% from the PFCU to buy the wife a 2009 SRX 100% financing (car/TTL and even extended warranty) if I wanted it.

Applied on line and had a bank draft within a week. Was very easy, but having a FICO over 800 helps.

Good luck.

You get locked into that rate for 60 months. If you have bad credit, then you'll most likely get locked in a higher rate.

I've been very happy with penfed. They are who I am planning to finance thru unless some else comes out with 0%.

When I got my last loan they said they don't have other rates. You either qualify for the advertised rate or you don't. They keep it simple. Don't know it that's still the case.

Yes, tax/title/reg can be included into the loan up to 10%. The total loan can not go beyond 110% of the value of the vehicle. To get this you need to apply with them for a loan and they will pre approve you based on your credit. Ex. If I got approved for $40,000 and my car cost $35,000 the max I could use my loan for is $35,000 MSRP + $3500 10% of MRSP for Tax/tittle/ reg for a total loan of $38,500 even though im approved for $40000.

I told a Chevy dealer that I could get 3.9% financing because of this thread, when I was getting a quote. They came back and said they would honor 3.9%.
