TPM

I am at the track... TPM is malfunctioning... When I go out will it effect the performance, i.e. throttle back power/limp mode?

No idea what issue is other than maybe they are dying.

I believe the tire pressure monitor on the Z/28 will not affect anything else. You will just have to put up with the light on the dash.

Other than the DIC telling you about the problem there should be no interference with performance. Send it!

you are correct. No issues. Scott,. The iron rotor/pagid set up is not close to the ceramics. Also, the added weight is very noticeable.

Sigh.... 7k a year for the best or 3k... I probably shouldn't ponder this now at Watkins Glen!!!😁

$7k for a full set?

If so, can you link me so I can forward to the guy buying my car. I've been telling people, well, more.

Example
https://www.gmpartswarehouse.com/v-2...--front-brakes

https://www.gmpartswarehouse.com/v-2...s--rear-brakes

Each rotor is $1,342
Rear pads $465
Front Pads $544
$6,377 Plus taxes and shipping etc.

Sometimes you can find better pad deals on eBay, Jegs or Summit.

A more aggressive pad may be in order?

Okay -- I wrote too soon... after getting the rotors and pads really burnished properly, and making adjustment for the RS29 pads... they were fine. Performed well and I am happy. Especially when I will go and order replacement rings for $1200 all around.

Over the course of the weekend I adjusted to the added un-sprung weight and no longer notice it.

Did have an odd occurrence... last day had the bleeder on the slave loosen and drop the clutch pedal to the floor. At first I obviously thought it was a broken line with all the fluid everywhere, but come to find out Monday it was a backed off bleeder. Weird.

Tightened, refilled with Castrol SRF, bled and good as new.

Has anyone experienced the same issue?
