We have an SS. I love the V8. The rumble. The torque. The...V8ness.

But I'll admit, there's a certain lightweight and modern appeal about the V6, and I can certainly understand why you'd want one instead of the larger option. And besides, you own a freakin' Camaro...there's not much that could make it uncool.

I think either the V6 or V8 is a good choice. I already have the same DI V6 in my CTS. First GM model to have it. Its a matter of torque and I wanted all i could get in the Camaro, so I chose the SS.

There's always going to be haters. Get what YOU LIKE not what others think. Enjoy your Camaro.

I couldn't not have the v8 rumble. It would be incomplete to me.

No disrespect to the 6's and the automatics.

Its what you like and your money. =)

O and also my bro keeps ripping me a new one saying I should die because I'm going to get a V6 muscle car. He has a 2001 (I believe) CL500 mercedes that does 0-60 at around 6 seconds and he wants to race. It's gonna be a good race. Who would win?

Unfortunately money is a little low over here so the V6 it is! And in a couple of years I might trade it in for the V8.

i feel the same way too, i want a camaro real bad, but i think i could only afford to buy the 2lt/rs. i'd barely be making it actually. lol, but people do talk smack about buying a v6.the v8 is too expensive for me, the thing about this is, that i only know how to drive automatic & people will probably laugh at me saying, "he's driving an automatic v6 camaro"
idk, i just don't want to be embarrased :/ what do you guys think? does it really matter if i get an automatic one?
