Mine goes in Thursday for the new fuel line. Hope the tech can get it done the same day and it fixes the problem.

Mine is at the dealer now. They are telling me the job takes 6-7hrs. Sounds crazy.

Those of you who have had the fix- how long did it take?

Dealers always over quote labor hours to inflate costs. If the tech can do it in less time that’s even more for the dealer and often how service departments make money. Service is often the biggest money bringer for dealers. Not making excuses but usually how they operate

I think most jobs have a standard rate. There’s another post saying 5 hours. It seems excessive but I’ll post how long it took after I get mine replaced.

Just got back from the dealer.
Noise is gone. It is weird not hearing the LT4 tick after owning the car for six months!

The dealer made sure to test drive my car before and after. Yeah like that was needed.

Anyways, pn 84404473 is the part on the invoice. Also, they said a new bulletin came out yesterday for this and they stated that they replaced the line pursuant to that bulletin. I assume to get paid from GM. They were still so uncertain that they called GM for more info. That bulletin is 23-NA-207.

Hopefully this ends it.

My dealer also told me about the new bulletin after they replaced the line yesterday. The advisor said the job took the tech a little over 2 hours while the standard time was over 4 hours. The exhaust has to be dropped down to access the connection to the HPFP line under the dash. It appears to finally be quiet now.

There was a bulletin out on it in 2021 when the problem started showing up more frequently. My dealer finally found that bulletin after I called and talked to the service manager multiple times after they told me it was the HPFP. This has been going on for several years now, and GM is well aware of it.

My dealer had the car 2 days once they finally got the correct part. That was 2 years ago!

It is a joke. I guess they don't hold their supplier accountable?

My service advisor said the repair procedure in the new bulletin for the ZL1 confirms replacement of the 84404473 fuel line.

The service advisor can pull up the TSB in his system and print you a copy. He confirms an open time with his techs, so they can usually knock out repairs the same day. That way the car isn't sitting outside and vulnerable to theft.
