Bluecat vve

We have been using EFILIVE for years now doing VVE tuning and would be interested in Bluecat vve tunings software.

Were is it available at?

I also have Version 3 if you dont like 4. But if you have never used it, version 4 will be fine.

Here is a link you should check out.

Bluecat was very generous for providing that software when there was no good way to get the job done in HPT. But now that the custom OS is out and free, I would never want to go back to doing it that way haha.

How did you manage to tune the really low readings of the map table, for instance high rpm coast down? Dfco is disabled for now while trying to get at least stoich in these regions 20-30kpa in ex

I don't think I paid a whole lot of attention to that scenario. I can't pull mine up and look right now, but I'm pretty sure mine is just hand-blended back into the relevant parts of the table. I don't drive my car like that, so it's not an area I spent much time on. You should just do part throttle up to 4k RPM or so, WOT area, then blend by hand in-between.

Ah okay because I was going to say it is really going to drop of and really mess with the shape, maybe using fuel trims in this area instead of a wideband will give me less misleading results. It's really difficult to hit and get repeatable counts in those cells to get a good average Ben factor with the wideband

Any transient areas of the table I just try to not mess with too much. If you can't get a good count, then you shouldn't be dragging things around very far. It's really easy to get it further off than it was before. Mine runs a little rich in decel like that where you were saying. Fine by me. It ain't right, but it's on the safe side of things. You really shouldn't be putting your car through that zone anyways. I always just drop it into the next gear for coastdown after a full pull.

It kind of hints at some driving tactics that aren't good for logging too. You should avoid sudden throttle changes and stressful decel. Stop signs. Getting stuck behind someone, etc. The tuning should be done with all steady state driving. You should be able to look over there and see the counts rising fast in each cell as you drive. Anything but that and you're asking for a redo.

And that's just beginner tuning advice. I'm no expert. I don't know how to "make the most" out of an imperfect logging session. If I don't get a log that is as steady as if I were on a dyno, I throw it out and don't make any changes based off that data. Just something I have learned over the last year or so.

I just don't want to have that in the back of my mind that something isn't quite right. I have the car for a fun nice day weekend car. When I drive it, I do crank on it occasionally and usually after a quick pull I'll stap the clutch and throw it in a tall gear too.
