Not all tuners are half-asses stealing more than my dentist makes per hour, just the ones you describe. It's not a custom tune if it only takes 17 minutes, I don't care how good you are. That's why his numbers suck, because no one spent any time with his car.

I am afraid the others are correct. He half-assed it. There is still a lot of room for improvement.

Keep in mind he also road tuned the car. Probably copy/paste tune, then did the finite stuff out on the street.

I have an L99 2012 Camaro 2SS/RS and I used the same tuner. He is a buddy of mine. I made 330rwhp and after a CAI, exhaust, headers, tune I made 360rwhp.

Stock hp is 426 right? Don't most stock LS3's dyno at around 390-400rwhp stock?

No way... Anything above 380whp is very strong. If you use 15% drive train loss most LS3 cars should dyno in the 365rwhp range give or take depending on dyno, weather conditions, and the particular car. 360-375 is common for an LS3. If you do 380 or above in less than ideal conditions then you got yourself a strong car (but again consider that dynos vary). Lots of L99 cars only do 345-355whp when stock. But 390-400whp for the LS3 is extremely uncommon.

Seems low. My LS3 put out 414whp with only a cold air intake and high flow cats. Stock tune.

Well I guess it's until next time that I get some heavy duty mods and do a retune. Probably cam w/heads?

Those numbers seem extremely low. I don't think your tuner did a 100% job.
