Tcm harness

Ok.. here's the problem. Lately I been having converter problems when I get up to operating temps... they all seem converter related. I've it get to 170 it bogs from a light, it pulls the idle down at a light, jerks in reverse, and I can't stall it up to launch. When it's moving from normal driving to a hard pull it's shifts PREFECT. I was thinking it was a converter problem until I started having starting issues. New starter, new battery alternator still good but if it sits for 2 days it's completely dead... I'm guessing it's shorting out.. so I see the tcm harness is burnt down by the header on the passenger side. A while back it kept blowing the tcm fuse so I wired it so it wouldn't blow...

my questions are

1) could the burnt harness cause the trans problems being that when it get to temp,it's over heating the wires making it act the way it dose

2) could that be what is also draining my battery
