Ok, on a 2013 ZL1 the #5 and #20 UNDER the hood fuse box right? What about #13 in the trunk?

I linked the thread in an above post. It's the F8 fuse located in the trunk. Leaves the valve open.

Yes, that is for the valve. What fuse's for the ECM set?

I live in Washington state where my 2013 has run on 92 with ethanol (the best you get at most retail pumps). I just found a connell station that I can get 100 octane Sunoco. Yeeha! So I can now raise the octane to well over 93.
But, does it matter? Would 92 affect the timing enough to make the fuse pull worthwhile? How high should I go without a tune and does that make a difference about pulling the fuses?

I did the fuse pull on my 2013 LS3 after tech put 89 in it. She was fast before being a LS3 but fuse pull woke her up just like it did for old #230.

Is that 100 octane gas available at the pump or is it an additive? How much do they charge for that? Very interested to hear how your car performs with that in the tank..

At the pump, and almost $9 per gallon. How it performs is the reason for my question. As I understand it, the higher octane will let the engine run with more timing advance without knocking. The greater advance will result in better performance. None of that will matter if the ECM (or whatever actually does it) can't adjust because it is stuck in some low octane mode.

So does anyone know if going from 92 to 94 or 96 would need the fuse pull?

If you've always run 92+ then you don't need a fuse pull. But that 100 octane gas wont do you any good if you aren't tuned for it.

Ok, thanks. Yeah, I'm not going for a tune just yet. I just want to ensure the timing stays in the higher octane setting.

This worked for me. Left fuses out for about 5 hours.

No ZL1 here just a regular 2012 SS and I can't find a trunk fuse box. I took apart all of the dress in the trunk and fount zip. Is the trunk fuse box ZL1 only?

Nope, should be on the right hand side of the trunk behind the carpet.
