Have to say the highest .22lr ammo I have seen is the one sponsored by the alligator hunter Troy Landry and it was at this weekend's gun show for $22-25 a brick.

Green tip FMJ .223 now going down again in price. Seen some good deals lately.

Update.

A17

Mini-14

I just finished a major garage re-lighting and clean-up effort. That's about as clean and as clear as my workbench area can get, and brighter than it's ever been.

Norm

That is a alot of gun for a .17 caliber. Looks really cool. What scope is that?

The .17 is 42" long and has a long barrel (22", which ekes out a little more muzzle velocity). But it's pretty light at just under 5.5 lbs without the scope. The scope is a Vortex Crossfire II in 4-12x44, with a dead-hold BDC reticle.

.22 is ok price wise, it's the damned .22 magnum that is out of control! Fortunately I don't go through much with my single six.

Hoping to look at an FNX 9 tomorrow. Cuz I always need another gun.

Honestly, I don't have any .22LR guns right now because I had other priorities...so I just did a quick google search and clicked on the first recognizable storefront: http://www.luckygunner.com/rimfire/22-lr-ammo

My newest build. Very light and well balanced, and looks like it's gonna be a shooter. Only put 5 rds thru it but I'm impressed with the parts selected. (Except for the amazingly cheap eBay magpul mbus that turned out to be fakes, but still meh decent)

Anybody use a NATO stock on an AK?

I want an AK. The one I fired (once) had a Warsaw stock and I had to chicken wing my right arm, and roll my shoulder forward to get my shoulder up to the buttstock. I'm thinking that because of my height, I might need a NATO stock so I can hold it properly. Any tall people with an AK? What do you think?

I'm 6-2 with 36" arms when I buy a LS shirt. I switched over to the NATO stock on my lone AK-74 and do not regret it. Forget how much additional length but it surely works better than the Warsaw pact stock.

There are other options to adapt an AR stock ,but I wanted the as issued look.

Same here.

That's if I could even own one without having to get a special license (required for owning firearms classified as "assault weapons" here in NJ). The basic Firearms Identification Card isn't enough.

Son's AR15 pistol evening shot. Pretty sweet with the forearm grip, but I was shooting it like a pistol.

Lots of unburned powder from the shorty barrel, but still plenty accurate at 200 yds.

Colt is always a good choice. It will hold it's value/appreciate better than most.
