Which dash kit reigns supreme?
Hi All,
Looking to upgrade my head unit to something CarPlay compatible. Wondering if a particular kit is favored for a 2012. I’d prefer to keep system settings though it may not be terribly important. Appreciate your thoughts! Last edited by DMan918; 06-30-2020 at 01:12 PM. |

Cam 1
Didn’t know we were posting pics but if it helps folks decide what they like best. Excuse the dirty car and phone mount. I just put that in since I had to drive it more frequently. Otherwise it’s a clean install with nothing on the dash. I have the buttons on top set up to turn on/off heated seats, max a/c, a/c on/off. You can program them for anything you want. It’s really nice and actually functional. I’ve been using navigation and CarPlay with other functions. It is almost identical to my 18’ Silverado factory setup. |

Thanks for pics! I definitely like how the cam1 keeps buttons, so I can get into settings. However, I like how the PAC looks more. Kinda a toss up.

I love my PAC unit. I don't trust the update system as it just did not work. However, it looks OEM. They just came out with a black version that better blends into the dash.

Cam1 color match is horrible!!!
Just bought a Cam1, sending it back color is way off, has a brown tint to it, does not match console color.
