What's the easiest way to get navigation on a Mylink system that doesn't have it.
I bought a 2013 Camaro that has everything I wanted including mylink but doesn't have navigation. What would be the easiest way to get some kind of navigation on up on the screen. I would like to be able to use android carplay but looks as though that isn't an option, I have found used radio units on eBay that say they have navigation but not sure if it would be a plug and play situation.
Does anyone have any opinions on what would be some good options? |

You would have to send your radio (not the screen) to Jarod at Gen5DIY for programming. You might want to telephone him for some guidance, he is a super individual who is willing to help. Telephone 928-505-1383. He also has units that he sells. Having MyLink already will save you some money! Besides programming the radio to your vehicle he also installs the latest maps, removes the motion lock and adds the backup lines. When I received the newly programmed unit it took me all of 45 minutes for removing the old and installing the new. Pricey but very nice, I have no regrets. Good luck. Larry

I cannot stress this enough - the answer is NONE.
This path is 100% waste of time and 100% waste of money, period.

I would personally spend money on a stand alone unit such as a Garmin.
I like mine, but it's not worth the cost (either original or as an upgrade). |
