Yes. Probably once that the Stingray is out of warranty, I'm planning to go back to the 5th. gen ZL1, great dependable and beautiful muscle car, which would be my last car to keep. Hell yeah.

Oh, ok. I thought this thread was going to contain some head-to-head stats and various other articles, showing the ZL1's capabilities.

Although subjective, it is a very impressive machine. I've ridden in my Dad's dozens of times. I've driven it some too. For a car costing ~$60k, it is up there with cars costing much more. The power, handling, amenities, ease of modification, rarity, etc....it's all there. GM nailed it with the ZL1. It's not just a straight-line brawler. It handles like it's on rails and is more or less, a jack of all trades.

My Dad is coming to visit this weekend for some large car shows and he's bringing the ZL1 for a change. I'll make sure to get some pics of the Z and the GS together.

P.S. With the insane prices you can pick up used Z's right now, I wouldn't blame you one bit for dumping your Stingray and getting into another 5th Gen Z.

Its a testament to how well the ZL1 performs when you hear corvette owners planning to switch or come back to the ZL1. It also marked a period where a regular production Camaro matched and/or exceeded the performance parameters of a corvette.

The Camaro has been a steady and competitive performer, thanks to the LS engine technology. With the ZL1's performance ride and handling technology, a new level of performance was established for Camaro.

I would totally agree, the 5th Gen ZL1 is one of the most aggressive cars out there. A true true muscle car evolution with all those rough edges and lines that the new gen and corvette lack. I was debating between a 6th gen 2ss, stingray z51, and a 5th ZL1, after 8 months of getting my ZL1 I couldn't be happier with my choice. Sure puts a smile on my face every single time I see it.

When the 6th. gen Camaro came out, I parked my ZL1 side to side, and there wasn't a single thing that I could say that it looked better on the 6th. gen, my ZL1 looked way better in all aspects and it has real seating space that the new one doesn't have.

I love my 2013 Victory Red ZL1 ... now to upgrade it for shits and giggles. Have the rotofab intake and working on getting headers installed.

Yes. Please share us your photos.

What attracts me very much of the 5th gen ZL1 VS my actual C7 Corvette Stingray, the 5th. gen Camaro has much better reliability than my actual car, in short it was better built to survive for a long time without issues. The 5th. gen ZL1 would be my retirement Sport car. The C7 Corvette Stingray is great in many aspects but not in reliability, probably I would keep it until I run out of warranty. Now you know which one is a keeper. The 5th gen ZL1 its a great Muscle car in all aspects.
