Did a burnout today with the AC on!
I have not done a burnout since I put my new exhaust on , Long tubes Hi flow cats Xpipe etc, So I decided to do one today ,Stepped on the Gas and Brake and iit was doggy ,I thought I was losing power because it was barely leaving any rubber down , I then tried a 2nd time and got more of a burn going , Yet not as much as i use to, The car has not been tuned yet and I was thinking man I got to get that tune done , I am losing power , So I drove off kind of bummed then realised I had the AC on the whole time I turned around and went back and turned the AC off and this time she laid all kinds of rubber on the road Anyone else done this ?

No, but an A/C system does rob power. Also, be sure to turn off all the traction control nannies.

Ha Yes i did have it together enough and turned the traction control off . Funny story the 1st time I bought the car and tried to do that I had no idea I had to turn it off , It took like like what seemed 30 seconds to get the wheels going and left 2 really solid long marks about 30 ft till I laid off the gas as my RPM's were near 7 , The marks are still faintly there after 3 years

I'm somewhat surprised how bad my V6 is at burnouts. I had a 75 Camaro with 200hp that would light 'em up without having to start by power braking.
The A/C should disengage the compressor clutch at wide open throttle anyway, though.

These 5th gens just get too much traction! Good for going fast but bad for burnouts. We had a 4th gen v6 5speed and that thing would smoke the tires no problem sometimes when your not even trying. This car, whole different story.

It could be the tires. First time I power braked it (on the way home from buying it, of course) it just pushed the locked up front tires across the parking lot.

I would do burn outs but the heel toe trick with my clutch is a little tricky...
