I'm curious about the "NACA Duct install at Belly Pan to direct air at OEM Oil Cooler/Heat Exchanger".

Were you able to measure an actual temperature reduction? Can you provide some pictures?

Thanks

I have zero data to support this mod. I do not think there is a negative to it other than the cost of the NACA duct.

So I'm waiting for RideTech to send me new and improved front endlinks.........still waiting........mine were bent, ever so slightly, how? I do not know, but they had a slight bend in them, they are aluminum. They never made noise. Otherwise the RideTech coilovers are a great option for the money. Their communications could be better, I tend to converse via email due to work commitments. This is going back to since maybe February. Still....waiting...

Anyway there was some Z/28 struts/spring assemblies on ebay a few months back, I bought a set. And I bought the Z/28 anti-roll bars. The z/28 springs are stiff, borderline for me. With my Moreno camber plates, the front sat higher than the rear. I don't buy that the Z/28 stuff sits lower than the 1LE stuff, at the least it is the same ride height.

So I thought about blazing new trails. Z/28 struts/shocks with a set of BMR 1" drop springs. Would the Z/28 struts "pack down" with too much dampning? (So much rebound that the springs would not spring back to a consistent ride height) No they haven't. I bought a set of JPSS Black magic anti-roll bars (ARB) from Bill Hurd because with the 1LE anti-roll bars I felt there was too much roll. Lowering springs lower the center of gravity but can affect the roll centers which induces more roll.

I just did a track day at Pitt Race on May 18th. Car rotates nice with throttle application, though maybe not as much as when I had the RideTechs and OE 1LE ARb's. i do have the JPSS fornt bar set to full stiff though. Transitions are nice. I had -2.0* front camber, .-8* on the rear . One thing I played with over the winter was the caster. I made new caster blocks and set the Morenos to more caster. I attained 9.5* of caster! Might be a record! From what I understand, beyond how caster affects the "feel", it helps the inner tire in a turn. if you run lots of negative static camber, this hurts that inner tire in a turn, it is leaning the wrong way. More caster helps you run less static camber. More static caster helps that tire. Now, how much? I do not know, I did not get any tire temp readings that were worth a damn, (only after cool down lap>>worthless).

Toe is at 1/16" in front, .20* rear. I set the alignment at the shop I mentioned earlier in my thread, Lohr Auto. I set the front to -.8* front camber, noted the adjuster at the knuckle , then set it to -2.4* (safe max) and noted the adjuster again. Each revolution of the adjuster at the knuckle equals .4* of camber change. I can now switch from street (-.8*) to race (-2.4*) without having to visit an alignment machine. I leave the Morenos alone because they are mostly adding positive caster, with just a little help adding negative camber. I adjust toe with a LongAcre Toe bar.
just found this again thanks for the response great info here for us ride tech users will be getting more parts soon JPss castor locks and radius inserts plus a 32mm blackmagic sway for the rear to help my understeer , still reading your thread good read lots of useful insight thanks

As usual in the summer, I am way behind my thread. A few bullet points:
-My personal best at Pitt Race is 2:00.00 flat with a change to the rear Z/28 anti roll bar(smaller), a tiny bit less front camber (.2*), install of Vorschlag camber plates and UMI trailing arms, DSE toe rods, rebuilt and repainted the 6 piston ZO6 front calipers, new DBA front rotors

New best @ Pitt Race. 1:57.29 First event with the Goodyear F1 SuperCar 3R tires from the Gen 6 ZL1 1LE in 305/30-19 size on all four wheels. -3 front camber for this event, but I have already bumped it up to -3.4.

I sand blasted and repainted the ZO6 calipers with the G2 epoxy system. I've tracked all summer and they still look like new. One thing I would do differently would be to spray the epoxy and not brush it, for a better finish. I rebuilt the calipers last winter too, used the Centric rebuild kit. My track braking skills have excelled this year. I am braking way, way later, the Raybestos ST43 pas are awesome, tons of confidence. I have not seen any seal breakdown from the Cetrric seals.

Too much negative camber hurts the inner shoulders, I found this days before my state inspection appointment. I had been running the OE Goodyears low tire pressure for a nice feel. That didn't help the inner shoulders. I now run them pumped up to get off the inner shoulder. I'm at about -3.2 front camber fro my track Goodyear 3R's so the street OE Goodyear G:2s must be pumped up.
