1,000plus HP build thread complete SOB Built

Well we here @ SOB figured it was long over due for a build thread on our white car. I am not the best at doing these documentaries so please bare with us!!

What started out as a L99 stock 2010 fifth generation Camaro quickly escalated into one monster of a jack stand build!

The first step was pulling out the old L99 VVT with 6L80e auto trans

The next step was to get a 4L60e built, we decided to use Jakes level 5 setup out of Texas for this. Since the car was already an auto it provided a bit more difficulty and wiring required to get everything on the dash functioning correctly as this is a STREET car.

Next was the motor, granted we have seen some good stock motors make great power, the risk and longevity was something we were not willing to risk. For this we decided to go with a LQ4 based 408, Forged internals.
Now in the first stage of this build it was equipped with a MONSTER set of ETP LS7 heads. We had Davids Machine Shop build the original combination

The next step was to get some type of forced induction setup on the car!!
We decided to go with the procharger F1X setup, what started out as a 10 rib setup quickly proved not worthy of the amount of boost we desired to feed this motor so a cog setup was quickly in order!
With the cog drive we were able to feed 24lbs of boost to this 4 bolt motor!!

Size: 143.5 KB

Size: 152.0 KB

Next was the fuel system to feed this monster!
While we ATTEMPTED to make a couple other fuel systems work, NOTHING could compare to the simple, yet EXTREMELY effective Squash Fuel system!
This setup is not only easy to install it actually WORKS!!
This was a dual pump setup, we are running E85 and have had NO fuel issues at OVER 1,000RWHP through an auto!!

Size: 124.6 KB

Now we have plenty of fuel, plenty of power, but we needed to get it to the ground!! the stock rear end just wasn't going to cut it!!
So who do you call??
why G Force Engineering is who!!
what we decided to run is the S60 with the G Force (level 5) 1,500hp axles. This is a Strange Engineering bolt in differential. We are pushing it over 1,000RWHP on slicks constantly with ZERO issues!! I cant speak highly enough on how BA these products are coming out of G Force!

So now we are done right!? Car runs great, makes 1042RWHP on E85 through an auto with a nice F1X setup!
rockin and rollin done ready to go!
Right?

NOPE!!!

So what now?
Well, the supercharger left alot on the table we felt...
That means its time to go TURBO!!

First off we started by ripping off the old Procharger setup. We decided to go with a Forced Inductions Billet wheel Ball Bearing 94MM turbo

Name: turbo (2).jpg

We decided to keep it simple, we went with a truck manifold setup, V Bands on the entire system, all back purge welded. Running the passenger side to the rear and the driver side forward, we used all stainless 304 except on the down pipe we just used mild steel.
Now keep in mind we did this build in 6 DAYS start to FINISH!!
I will let the pictures do the talking!!

Now some install Pics!!

Size: 110.9 KB
Name: install (4).jpg
Views: 2412
Size: 116.7 KB

Next we took our stock replacement radiator and modified it to work with the current setup, this required minimal movement of the factory setup, still retained the stock fans even!!

Now the turbo install is complete, again this build was done in 6 DAYS!!! Drove it off the trailer and drove it back on the trailer.

Size: 103.6 KB

Now the car has gone from a Supercharger to a Turbocharger, this means we need to change the cam, not only do we decide to change the cam but we also decide to go with a LS9 style head and another High Rise Holley intake just for LS9 style heads. The cam is a EPS cam and sounds great! turbo spools almost instantly!!

The car is amazing to drive and still extremely street friendly!!

The car is tuned and running around on the streets, keep your eyes out for this sick SOB Built turbo camaro!!
