LMAO, hahaha. Yeah dude, sorry, but by the time you get done doing all that needs to be done, you'll have spent enough to buy 3 z28's, so yeah....if you're wantin some more power, just upgrade your suspension, tranny, and rear end a bit, slap a turbo on it and call it done.

i know im guna mod mine, not too much though. only some headers, exhaust, intake, just to make it a little more fun, and ofcourse the leather seats and new audio system and some sporty rims. not a hot rod by any means, but good enough for me right now

If you plan on doing the swap because you want a V8, I'd suggest you find a nice used Z28. If you're doing it because you want to get dirty, have a fun project, and are willing to spend months of time and thousands of dollars on it, go for it.

That being said, your life will be a whole lot easier if you buy a complete donor car. Look for a trans am or something that has rolled. A front end collision should be okay since you plan on buying a crate engine. If it were my project, I'd buy a wrecked LS1 Fbody, rebuild the engine to MY specs, then throw that in. There is no set "list" to make for you--everyone's swap is different. Look 'dis.

305 Pride-I already have some mods, i have CAI and i think its tuned but i cant really tell because i bought it used
brandotron- You think so? i've been told that too, my camaro actually needs front end work because i was in a accident but, do you really think i should? bc that car has lots of sentimental value to it.. it holds alot of "first's" in that car..but what do u mean rolled?

If you have another car to daily drive, have at. I would highly recommend that you don't do an engine swap if this is your only car though. It will take forever and it most likely will not be a perfect swap at first.

However, if you do have some disposable income, you may want to think about getting the donor, stripping it, and building the engine/rebuilding the trans while you continue to daily drive your v6. EVERYTHING drivetrain related will need to be swapped - Engine, trans, rear end, computer, front suspension, etc. It's much easier to go and buy a Z28 or an SS. Prices are coming down on fourth gens.

Also, by "rolled" I mean something that's been in a rollover accident. A car that is totaled but still has a functional drivetrain.

Send a message via Yahoo to CamaroSpike23
in addition to Brandotron's link, check out this place

http://hpsalvage.com/

you'll need full V8 suspension, engine, trans, fuel lines, heater/lines, and more.

its honestly a lot easier to just trade/buy a Z28 than do a swap in a v6 car.

Thx for the links guys
Brandotron-I actually think im Gonna go look and see how much it would cost to just find the v8 equipped car, but if it is a LT1 would it cost a little more to do the LS376 swap? or would it be cheaper to do the swap with a Ls1? or is it all the same?
