Unique things about the Camaro

Here are some things I noticed about the Camaro that I have not seen in many other cars. These are not bad, just not typical of other cars I have owned. Anyone notice any others?

1. Battery located in the trunk. Sure stays clean this way.
2. Emergency brake located on the passenger side of the center console.
3. Trunk release button located in the middle of the drivers side door panel.
4. Gas cap located on passenger side.
5. Ignition. You don't have to hold the key to start the car. You just turn it enough and let go and it continues to crank until it starts. Kinda like a push button start but using a key.
6. My 1le has 4 tires of the same size but none of them can be rotated. Rim size is different between front and back.

Didn't know you couldn't rotate your tires. Different wheel sizes?
Also I have noticed the battery and wondered about it.
The trunk release didn't phase me to much.
I have wondered the same thing about the e-brake being on the passenger side!
I drove to the wrong side of the gas pump twice before I got used to it(yes I now know my car has an arrow pointing to the correct side, don't judge me)
One thing that cracked me up to is that our trunks have a anti kidnapped mechanism on the inside that you can pull and it will release the trunk from the inside. It has a man getting up and running out picture on it haha!

I could be wrong, but I think a lot of RWD vehicles have the battery in the trunk, supposed to help with weight distribution. Personally, I like having the gas on the passenger side, there's usually no wait at the gas station for me.
You should still be able to have your tires rotated side to side.

EDIT: My bad, I didn't know the 1LE tires were directional. The non-1LE SS tires can go side to side.

You will get longer battery life with it in a cooler place then the engine compartment.

I thought that the purpose of putting the battery in the trunk was so that On$tar would work in the event of a front end collision. (I think the computer for it is in the trunk as well)

But then wouldn't all GM vehicles have the battery in the trunk?

The HUD is nice and gets cool points from everyone who notices it.

The SS has staggered wheels. So we have one size in the front and a different size in the back. If you use directional tires, then you won't even be able to rotate them to the other side of the vehicle. Camaro models that don't have staggered wheels can and should rotate.

The battery is in the trunk for better weight distribution, same reason the hood is aluminum.

Also in front end collision battery could explode or at least that's why they're in the back of my drag car plus no room for that ugly thing under hood. I've heard some cars are in fender well .much better in trunk

The battery is in the trunk because there's no room for it under the hood. The starter turning after the prompt from the key is part of the remote start feature even though remote start isn't an option on the manual trans.

However, when you drive your wife's Camry, you still need to hold the key until it kicks over. Being used to the "turn and release" with the Camaro results in you looking dumb when you do it in other vehicles out of habit.
