I remember standing in front of the silver concept spinning on a turntable at a motor show around 2008. Couldn’t believe my eyes.... Chev built me a new muscle car and it looks frickin awesome.

Ended up standing there for a good half hour just staring as she spun around.....

Yeah, I belonged to a Mustang forum when I had my 09 GT. Those people had/have a real love of their cars but unfortunately, I hate to stereotype, most of the guys had the maturity of 5th graders. Too many of the discussions devolved into ridiculous spats about nonsense. Even before I traded in my Mustang for my current Camaro, I left the site. Life's too short.

That was it for me too. I spotted the concept online around 2007 or so and knew right then I would have someday. Absolutely beautiful cars in every way.

Big fan here! Believe it or not when I first saw these vehicles over 10 years ago I was only mildly impressed. The aggressive styling of the SS made me take notice. The '14 update got me thinking and then the "unknown" of the coming Gen 6 convinced me to by my '15 2LS for a DD. The first new car I ever purchased! Needless to say I'm hooked on the 5th Gen!

My youngest daughter, 21, said its "her car" and I'm not allowed to sell it.
Probably the only decision the little 4'11" red headed mouse has made without asking for advice and she seemed pretty damn dead serious when she said it.

These cars seem to invoke strong emotions me thinks.

Wow Arizona... you win. A DD and a Sunday 5th Gen. How many people ask if you painted the car and changed the wheels

This was my experience also. I remember seeing pictures of the concept car in a hot rod magazine back in 2007 or 06. Then at the Denver auto show, just stood there and stared at it for a long time. Told myself if GM built it , I was going to get it. GM’s record of building concepts was poor, so I thought “no way “. I was going to buy a Corvette. When production was announced, I went and put down a deposit.

For me it was the Road & Track June 2009 issue, at the top of the magazine`s cover was "Tested 2010 Camaro SS". I bought the magazine (still have it!) and then later I couldn`t decide if I was going to buy a SS V8 or a LS V6 which was tested later but I was definitely hooked and buying one of those two.
