That doesnt necessarily mean anything in the used market. L99/Auto cars are much more prevalent, there tends to be a higher price commanded by LS3/manual cars. Actually go look at the cars for sale. I dont have a dog in this fight, have owned manual and auto. Only have a preference based on what I plan to do with the car. I just dont get the L99 vs LS3 crap on this board. Facts are facts, doesnt make one better than the other.

As far as depreciation goes I'm very happy. I special ordered my 2SS back in
the Spring of '09 and paid $40,000 inc tax. At $20,000 today that means I've
driven this car for about $2,000 a year. Some new cars depreciate that much
in the first year.

Actually, I just did a random sampling on Cars.com of manual vs automatic 2014-15 Camaro V8 coupes with less than 20K miles. There were 97 manuals & 169 automatics. The high & low prices were within $500 of each other, which is negligible. Therefore, while there's no added value to an automatic, the statement "L99 gonna knock it down about 3 to 5 k" is incorrect.

Agree to disagree, one guy priced way high or way low messes that up so not a good way to go about it looking at high and low. I’d argue the older the car more it will separate too. 5k may be extreme though.

Beside the point, that 2010 is way high.

Never seen manual’s regularly sell significantly higher than a auto. This is a LS3 owner trying to tell you his car is better. If I wanted a manual I would have bought one.

Agree, the simple and unfortunate fact is, as time goes on, there are fewer and fewer people who even know how to drive a manual; this has been the trend for a few decades now. This means the demand for autos has and will continue to grow, while the demand for an manuals will continue decrease. As a result of supply and demand, when you buy a new car, such as a Camaro SS, you will pay more for an auto then a manual. The same will hold true for resale, whether it be in 5 years or 10 years from now.

Manual cars of the classic muscle car era tend to be more desirable then autos. But hardly relevant in today's Camaro market.

They do. Most of the online sites I've seen, the manual goes for $2-3k more than the automatic, all things being equal.

I don't know if the LS3 is better, but it is 26hp and 10ft-lbs of torque better. For some people, that matters I guess.

That horse has been beaten to death. The 2 motors have both proven to be good platforms to build with neither considered faster then the others. You need to post links to these price differences..... i dont see it anywhere.

If you ever want to have a warm feeilng in your heart, put your 16 year old daughter behind the wheel of the 6 speed manual while her boyfriend is in the backseat. That wedding isn't going to happen any time soon.

I paid 27k for mine way back in 2012. If you buy this you have more money than you need

I mentioned the high & low because I'm not going to calculate the exact average of each, but when I scanned through each list, the prices were on par.
