Finally ordered, finally posting.
I've been lurking on this forum for quite a while, since even before I actually signed up for an account in 2009. Finally ordered my 2011 RJT LS3 2SS/RS through Becky D and should be getting back to home station from Iraq just in time to pick her up. If not, shouldn't more than a week or so wait.
I was going to wait until I actually had the car to make my obligatory introduction post, but just couldn't maintain the patience. Love the forum and looking forward to actually participating in some of these discussions. |

Congrats... and welcome home. I ordered my car from Becky and she did a great job.
You're from Rapid City? I went to H.S. in Lead. How is it in the hills? Its been about 12 years since I was last there. Congrats again on your new car, and welcome home. Thank you for your service!

Hello, and welcome. That's going to be a nice homecoming present to yourself Be prepared to get a few more looks than you did in your Accord, you're gonna love it.

Not quite home yet, got about a month left. Thanks nonetheless though. As for how it is in the hills, COLD! Missing my first winter in 6 years by being deployed, so that worked out. I'm from North Carolina originally so I don't think I'll ever acclimate completely to South Dakota weather.
I imagine I will get a few more looks than I do in the Accord, but I'll be keeping it so I can keep my new baby safe and clean during nasty weather. Apex Chase, I'll be in touch with you in a couple months for my Borla ATAK catback and CAI intake. |

SolidGoldBomb, congrats and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Im guessing you're at Ellsworth AFB? Rapid City is nice, but you'll get used to those harsh winters. I moved there from Vegas when I was 11 years old, and man I left when I was 19... I had nice thick blood!
You are going to have a freaking BLAST driving that car out there. You should take it through Spearfish Canyon and see how she handles the twisties. Then find one of those nice empty abundantly long stretches of prarie road and open that beast up!

You guess correctly Stone★ColdNuts. Got stationed there after tech school and been there ever since, about six and a half years now. I'll definitely take your advice and hit up the canyon, and of course I'll find somewhere to open it up. Pics, and probably lots of them, will come the chance I get to take some!
And thank YOU Becky for making the ordering so easy and painless. |
