I must admit I'm really missing my ride!!
Repair costs were estimated over $24K. Since resale is high and it only has 17K miles my buy-out is just over $30K + sales tax. Once my loan balance is cleared I'll get a sizeable equity check to save toward whatever performance car I purchase later next year. For right now I'm researching cheap lease deals to get me through the winter. Looking into ATS, CTS coupe, Regal Turbo, Impala, or possibly even a Volt. I'm hoping they top-off my GM card points soon and incentives improve after the holidays. Base C7 Vette 7spd is the ultimate goal to replace my Camaro once supply meets demand and pricing settles down some. |

I was unaware at purchase but I can truly attest to the strength of this car. "The 5th gen Camaro was the FIRST car in North America to ever get the 5 star safety rating! Clearly it's well deserved! The crash tested one is in the GM museum." |

Glad you're ok. I work in the Swiftwater area here in the Poconos and I get worried coming up here myself (1.5 hrs away) the temps always drop 10 degrees compared to where I live and rain by me can mean snow and Ice up here. At least you are ok and like others have said, material things can be replaced.
Now on another note, can you pull the break system off and give it to me? I want to upgrade my breaks on my 2LT but don't want to spend thousands on it lol

Ouch, Im sorry to hear that. I understand how safe these cars are, having totaled one myself.
I was just in the Poconos last weekend and driving the Camaro through them tight hills was not fun, I recommend observing or going under the speed limit. On a side note, I'd love to come snag the GFX off your Camaro.. maybe leave the impound unlocked.. |

Wow! That's absolutely crazy... Very glad that you and your wife are ok. I'd be hard pressed NOT to get another Camaro if I survived a wreck like that

SOMETHING to think about!!!!!! If you'd been in a C7 you both would likely be dead. Just a thought.

I'm sure someone will buy it at the auction for parts.

I hate these kind of things, people are just not careful on the road. They think it is a game

GM makes incredibly safe cars, far more safe than most of the other brands, its something that not talked about nearly enough.
Best wishes on your full recovery.

Wow! That was an awful accident but I am very glad you & your wife came out okay. I know you miss your nice Camaro. There are many very lightly used Camaros out there. I bet you could search (or have a dealer search for you) around & find one with very few miles on it very close to the same as the one you had. Just a thought.
