Installed my Barton short throw today.

Wow what a difference this shifter makes, the install went real easy and the polished flat stick looks like the shifters from the older muscle cars I used to own. It was worth every penny.

I do believe this one has a shorter throw and with this one you get an option of 3 different sticks and multiple options on the handles. Not to mention its cheaper and the customer service is second to none!!!!

Yep - cheaper, quieter, and more stick/knob options... and I was amazed at how short the throw is with the taller 'flat' stick

I have the Barton and installed a few Hurst. The Barton IMHO the better of the two. The Hust is a good product it just seems to vibrate more than the Barton. I know a little dyna mat will stop that but I just didn't want a bandaid to say I have a Hurst.

Just installed my Barton shifter today and I love it! Much better than the factory one. I had a Hurst in my 93 Z28 and didnt really like it, it was too noisy and I didnt like the feel. Maybe they are better on the 5th gen?
