3.23 and 3.73. That's it.

So what is you preliminary thoughts about 3.73s compared to 3.23s so far, I know your still getting use to the 3.23s, but I know you do multiple events

Love them for general driving, like around town, on the highway. They seem to be just fine for drag racing, autocross but haven't tried them out on the road course yet. Overall, I'm glad I swapped over with my setup.

You would not want a 4:56 in our size for the SS or the slightly larger ZL1 ring gear ratio as its most likely to be more prone to breakage with so many teeth being so small as what I have heard of those who go 4:10 gears more prone over time. So 3:91 or lower seems to be a ticket for stock type rear ends ..... and the price is reasonable from them being in the 1le for a SS and a zl1 being two sizes and the 3:73 the more desirable from the manual. AS the cost for the 3:73 is more and numerically less .

I wouldn't do 4.56 in stock size but they the zl1 is 9.9" so I figured they may make it for that rear end

It's not that the teeth get smaller as much as the mass gets smaller on the pinion gear.
As ratios get higher in number the ring gear gets larger and the pinion gear gets smaller. The smaller the pinion gear the weaker it becomes and tries to walk up the ring gear under torque easier and pops the teeth.
