New Oil pan gasket

Got a new oil pan gasket today from Amazon.

Well At least I don't need to open the box to know it's going back!

A regular box would had been nice. Being a metal gasket, it didn't bend "that" easily. UPS wasn't very kind to the package.

UPS NEVER IS!! I could tell you stories about how they handle packages after seeing how they treated equipment we shipped from our aircraft Avionics Manufacturing company in the 25 years I worked there!! 125k weather radar unit, just THROW it in the truck!! Good thing I always packed them very well... I even yelled at the driver about it and he just looked at me. So yeah, they suck...

Honestly none of the package carriers are great, honestly USPS is probably the most reliable as far as not damaging or losing stuff but I do know that UPS and Fedex freight both...are literally the worst. They destroy pallets, lose freight, don't pay claims.... The company that i work for has them blacklisted from our carrier list for that reason. We also switched our package service to Fedex and have had alot less issues then when we were with UPS.

One time I ordered a pair of axles and there was two boxes taped together and only one box had an axle and the other one was empty with a big old hole in it.

YMMV on carriers, but for me it's like this...

1. USPS
2. AMAZON
3. UPS
4. FEDEX (by far the worst for my area!)

I guess it's possible the fulfillment center did this before shipping also...

We had FedEx lose pallets of monitoring equipment for a hospital's new tower grand opening. I had to beg, plead and cajole the factory to ship more before the go live and then FedEx found it two months later. What was I supposed to do with that? Hospital no longer needs it; I can't ship it back to Europe because the Customs documentation only goes one way. It all ends up in scrap or we give it away to sites that can use it. Nonetheless, FedEx did not have to pay the claim. Rant over.

Oh, and UPS sux around here like Jewel said. Amazon could be good if they quit putting fragile shipments in plastic bags.
