Good Guys Auto X
Good Guys was at Texas Motor Speedway and got to run my first Auto X and had a blast. A little cool for the F1s…

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same. Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different. I can't wait for my next Track fix. That's a long uphill back stretch.
I get up to around 240-250kmph, or around 140-15-mph. The supercharger sure loves it!!

The new pavement was great - wider in some spots, which is super, like on the right side of Turn 10 where people sometimes lose it and spin out. I think someone said an extra 4 feet of pavement there, which will make it easier to recover as most of the spin videos I saw at that corner happen when folks hit the dirt. So, nice to see that. I think it is around 1:13 on my video posted earlier - you can see it extend after the end of the gator. The extra gators that they put at some spots behind the regular gators look kinda nasty, and if you go that far off the track it's not going to be a good experience. A guy in a Ferrari took Turn 1 too tight (brand new slicks, didn't know he had to take it easy the first few laps) and ended up stuck on top of the new gators, with two wheels off the ground. Kinda hard to explain, but he was pissed. Anyhow, it's a great track. The only time the back end slipped was when I ran at full throttle through standing water (track was 99% dry but a few streams here and there from runoff). Back end squirted around a bit but it was okay. You'll have a great time. Pete
